5th volume of Brunei Darussalam Journal of Technology & Commerce out tomorrow

Institut Teknologi Brunei (ITB) will officially be releasing the 5th volume of the Brunei Darussalam Journal of Technology & Commerce in a ceremony tomorrow.The journal will be officiated by ITB Vice Chancellor Dato Dr Hj Omar bin Hj Khalid in his capacity as guest of honour.Published by ITB, the Brunei Darussalam Journal of Technology & Commerce has attracted researchers from the region and has been provided a forum for publishing their research findings.Quite a number of manuscripts were received for consideration from several countries and 12 papers have been selected for publication in this issue, with the assistance of an expert team of reviewers.

The papers cover a wide spectrum of high-tech research areas such as nanotechnology, mathematical modeling, biometric authentication, and wind-diesel power systems.The journal has been instrumental in helping local researchers towards the development of cutting edge competencies and assisting them in disseminating their research findings to a wider global audience without much delay.Also expected at the ceremony is Associate Professor Dr Sevia M Idrus from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, who will be delivering a public lecture on ‘Radio Over Fibre.’The talk promises to be of great interest to those dealing with wireless broadband communication services and interested parties are most welcomed to attend.For those interested in copies of the Brunei Darussalam Journal of Technology & Commerce, please contact Zainidi bin Hj Abdul Hamid at Zainidi.Hamid@itb.edu.bn or telephone 246 1020 (ext 1313).
