Two books written by two significant Muslim writers – Brunei Darussalam’s State Mufti, Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, and Dato Paduka Dr Haji Muhammad Nur Lubis – were launched yesterday during a ceremony at the Darul Ifta of the State Mufti’s Office along Jalan Babu Raja.
The Director of Administration at the State Mufti’s Office, Dato Paduka Ahmad Bukhari PSRK Haji Abu Hanifah, expressed his confidence that the new books – ‘Keramat Wali-Wali Allah’ by the State Mufti and ‘Air Zamzam: Untuk Apa Ia Diminum’ by Dato Paduka Dr Haji Muhammad Nur Lubis – would not only contribute positively to the development of Islamic knowledge but also serve as a guide for Muslims in the country.
The 247-page ‘Keramat Wali-Wali Allah’ book features some 50 significant Muslim ‘Walis’ detailing their pious life, dedication, obligation and devotion for Allah the Almighty.
The State Mufti told the Bulletin that he was inspired to write the book while attending a course in Cairo between 1979 and 1980.
The other book, ‘Air Zamzam: Untuk Apa Ia Diminum’ (120 pages), which is divided into three sub-topics, details the significance of drinking ‘Zamzam’ water and explains how the water could be used as a medical cure for illnesses.
The $10 ‘Keramat Wali-Wali Allah’ book and $5 ‘Air Zamzam: Untuk Apa Ia Diminum’ book can be purchased from the Darul Ifta of the State Mufti’s Office. The Bulletin was informed that 3,000 copies of both books would be made available.
The new books bring the total number of titles published by the State Mufti Office to 74.
